Announcing the Winners of The Saddle Camp Fan ArtPrize
We are so blown away with all the entries for our ArtPrize.
Even professional artists say horses are one fo the most difficult animals to draw, and yet we saw wonderful creative pictures and paintings of horses from people of all ages. Amazing!
It was really difficult to choose, so we asked friend-of The Saddle Camp, Julie from Artworx by Julie to help us judge, and this is what she said….
“It has been a great joy to see these special moments from the saddle camp. An artwork is not only judged by the technical execution, placement etc. But by its ability to bring you to a feeling."
These works were a really good representation of this, using many different materials the artists were able to display their skill but also emotion, what a wonderful demonstration, excellent works, the saddle camp is obviously a place of joy and pleasure.”
Elder Prize
The winner for this group is 10 year old Abi, an excellent composition using many art skills.
Younger Prize
The winner for this group is 3 year old Maya "For Champ." Her decoupage had a great story to it, showing her sentiment and generosity towards Champ, a perfect expression of a 3 year old’s love and feelings.
Bethany’s dad shared her picture on Facebook saying Bethany’s Nan and Pop brought her to The Saddle Camp “for her birthday last year and she has been obsessed ever since. It’s a wonderful camp designed for girls only and Bethany has been working around the house and selling her art out the front to save money to take her sister’s next year!”
Abi, Maya and Bethany have each won a Merch Pack including a Saddle Camp Shirt with their own name.
All the entries were so impressive. We loved reading your stories about coming to The Saddle Camp and the memories you shared.
Special Mentions
We loved the work of Remi, Olive, Molly and Iga.
These incredible works have earned the girls a Mini-Merch Pack from The Saddle Camp - a Notepad and Four Agreements Poster.
We appreciate everyone’s great efforts and can’t wait to see you again at The Saddle Camp!
