Thank you for hosting me for my work placement in 2023 at The Saddle Camp, during the 27th of June to the 1st of July.
I really enjoyed my time on the farm, assisting you with daily farm chores. It was a great break from the city and the best work experience I could have asked for.
I learned so many valuable skills, such as, what it takes to holistically manage farm land and how to manage a business.
I specifically enjoyed talking whilst delivering water to the horses, learning dressage, riding Destiny and Axel and using the coffee machine.
It really made me think about my future career, guiding me in a field that I might like to work in, inspiring me to investigate pathways to achieve my goals.”

Work experience at The Saddle Camp gives you the opportunity to be 'hands on' with horses and expand your knowledge and skills for working in the horse industry AND running a tourist/accommodation operation.
Joining in Work Experience involves:
- assisting with training, daily horse care and bookings for rides we may have
- being a part of the running of our Cafe, Farm, Tiny House accommodation and Farm Shop.
- assisting with marketing ideas and administrative tasks.
You’re welcome to join our team daily or stay in the Clubhouse for the full experience for just $70/night which includes all meals, entertainment and a private lesson each day.
