To Bec at Landcare, from Roger at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance

I just wanted to say thank you again for organising the bushfire volunteer recovery day at Helen’s property in Bombay through your Shoalhaven Landcare group and for your patience with the many postponements.  Despite our team mate volunteer numbers being much reduced from our original numbers last year, those who came enjoyed it greatly.  The bushfires on the NSW east coast were unprecedented in scale last year and we wanted to contribute to the recovery in some way.  We were happy to help how we could with the plantings, the erosion barrier construction, mulch dispersion and IBC water supply plans to support plantings and enable wetting down prior to bushfire advancement.  We were also glad to spend some money in town for our evening and breakfast meals and at the Saturday markets.  Braidwood is a lovely town.

Helen was extremely grateful and very enthusiastic, as well as an amazing host, providing food for us including fresh scones.

Thank you to both of you, Rebecca and Helen

Amazing.

Helen who hosted us was amazing. She was super friendly and helpful with everything and would go out of her way to make our stay enjoyable.
Definitely one of the best hosts I've had!

Both the host and the location were great. Would absolutely recommend to others.

Relaxing and peaceful...

A weekend getaway that was relaxing and peaceful! Helen was an amazing host who helped with all questions and queries. A stylish and cosy tiny home with a picturesque backdrop. I loved waking up to the sound of Kookaburras and Magpies. It was well equip and well above my standard of what I was expecting. Highly recommend for a nice weekend away in the country. Thank you again!

It was Great!

Our stay in the tiny house was great! Helen is an excellent host and is so generous with her time in providing tips and directions. She gave us some great ideas - we ended up going on a beautiful bushwalk through her property to see the horses, and she also recommended a stunning part of the river a few minutes away. It was a 10 minute drive to town which was perfect to get supplies and go out for meals, but also to feel like we were out in nature. There's another tiny house in the same area, but there was no noise disruption and both houses are still very private based on the way they're facing and where the windows are.

A great experience...

Staying in a 'Tiny House' was a great experience. Helen is a really lovely host and left us some cookies, cereal etc which was a nice touch and certainly came in handy on the day it poured with rain. The bed was very comfy, which was a treat since we were toddler free for the weekend. The stairs up to the bed are very steep, if you struggle to climb stairs, this might not be the place for you. However, if you're after something different and enjoy nature and watching kangaroos hopping about, then definitely give this place a go!
