"Amazing Weekend"

Thank you, to both yourself and Rob for an amazing weekend.  The food was lovely and the riding was amazing. I will certainly be attending any other events that The Saddle Camp are holding.

"My Time At The Saddle Camp Was Magical."

My weekend at the Saddle Camp was one I will never forget. 10 minutes from Braidwood NSW, Helen from Saddle Camp has created a unique and beautiful place.

We arrived on Saturday morning and I was able to choose my horse to ride for my time there. There were 6 beautiful horses to choose from so it was a very hard decision. After that we got to tack up the horse we chose.

We went on a ride around the beautiful property, stopping at a waterhole to give the horses a drink. Helen showed us how to feed the horses and we got to drive a horse and cart which was amazing! At the end of the day we had a spectacular dinner with a movie and popcorn afterwards. After that we went on a spotlighting tour. We saw lots of animals and saw where the horses were sleeping for the night! The bedroom we slept in is cosy and very nice. I definitely slept well!

In the morning Helen made us a wonderful breakfast and of course the horses had a great breakfast as well! :) Then we went on a long trail ride around them property and had a picnic lunch which was fantastic.

When we got back we prepared for the mini show. We oiled the horses hooves and braided their manes and tails. We did a leading class, dressage and jumping. Then we played some fun games. We also had an awards ceremony at the end and I felt like I never wanted to leave!

My time at the Saddle Camp was magical. Thank you so much Helen and everyone else who made my time at the Saddle Camp so amazing!!

Hi Helen,

I would like to sincerely thank you, Laura and Victory for my overwhelming experience yesterday. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment and look forward to my next visit.

I truly do appreciate all you did for me. I feel you went way above and beyond to make my time there an unforgettable one, and you certainly succeeded. Your stories of the history of the entire area and the passages we were passing through really opened my mind up to just how wonderful this part of Australia is. I don't think I could have discovered this without your knowledge.

Thank you for allowing me to assist in preparing the horses as I felt this to be a very important element with regards to getting to know the horses and for them to get to know me. I was blown away that you were walking with us the entire time, guiding, urging and educating me in the process. You and your club are remarkable.

I will see you again. As to when, I am unsure, but it will be sooner rather than later. Until then, I wish you all the very best. Thank you once again. Take care :-)

Work Experience - 10/10

The Saddle Camp is an incredible place, filled with amazing staff. They are very welcoming, nice and always happy to help. I went to The Saddle Camp 3 times for work experience as they taught me so much, provided me with an amazing and different experience each time and there was never a dull moment. I highly recommend The Saddle Camp for anyone that wants to get lessons, attend a horsey work experience placement, or to visit the amazing cafe that they have. 10/10

"Lucy Loved it as always"

Luce has drawn a gorgeous card for you which has been sitting around for a week or so with me forgetting to post it!  I hope you’ve had a good and busy holiday.  Lucy loved it as always.  We have printed off her photos which are now on her wall and she talks about Victory all the time.  Even has jam jars with his hair inside sitting beside her bed!   Thank you to both you and Rob for having them all and for making it so fun.  I am sure she’ll be seeing you sometime in January.  In the meantime, hope all goes well for you all.  Best wishes, Mary

Saddle Camp Hydration

“Hi Helen, I forgot to tell you:  I wanted to make sure that the girls were drinking enough water on the way home.  Just before we left on Sunday, most of them were already settled in the cars, and I remembered they needed to go fill up their water bottles.  Most were too tired to get up and walk one step further..... until I suggested, "Go and fill up your water bottle with Helen's special Saddle Camp water so that you have something to drink on the way home and maaaaaybe some left over to take to school tomorrow!"   Well, their faces all suddenly lit up, they positively SHOT out of the car and piled into the club house to fill up their bottles!!!  I was left in a cloud of dust, smiling to myself!!!  We arrived back in Canberra, with re-hydrated girls. Phew!  I thought you'd like to know:  The very mention of your name is enough to motivate exhausted girls into further action! :-)  You're our hero!  Lisa

Dear Helen, Sorry it’s taken me so long to write to say a huge thank you for having the Northbridge girls to Saddle Camp at the weekend.  They all had such a good time and as Lucy’s mum, I honestly can say that she loved it all.  She thought it was absolutely amazing and that you are fantastic!  Thank you so much. Wonderful Agistment!

A big thank you to Helen, Rob and the team for making my horse Maggie’s stay last spring so worthwhile. The reason for her visit was to re build her and my riding relationship which had slowly faded over several years of being too busy to ride.

The positive environment created by all the horse loving kids and adults and quiet, sweet school horses was perfect. Helen’s boundless enthusiasm and support helped me achieve all my goals in both the riding arena and bush trails, and Magpie went home a better horse for it.

I was so lucky to coincide our time at Saddle Camp with the David Stuart clinic, enabling me to tap in to some key foundation skills for both me and my horse, then building on them in such a safe and supportive place. I highly recommend what Helen and all the crew have to offer, as a way to reconnect with your horse.

Thanks again every one involved in the rebooting of Magpie and me.

Absolutely Beaming!

Thank you again to yourself and Rob for another happy daughter returning home from the camp. You do a wonderful program and it is obvious their is a lot of love and passion behind the camp. Chloe came home beaming again, she loved every second all the same.

Best camp ever!!

I would just like to say thank you so much for letting me stay last week I had so much fun and learnt a ton of stuff . Everyday felt like a brand new adventure on horseback and I loved that .I would also like to say thank you to Rob as he made the best food ever and I could eat majority of it (gluten free). I can not wait to come back again maybe when it is a bit warmer and less wet :) The horses are all so beautiful and wonderful to ride .

Amazing Week of Work Experience at Saddle Camp!

Dear Helen + Family & Laura, 

Thank you so much for the amazing week at Saddle Camp! I had so much fun and learnt a lot each day! Yourself and your family were all so welcoming, nice and helpful! I felt so at home for the whole week, which was good. I miss it so much and I would love to do it again! I would say yes in a heart beat. 

You helped me realise a more specific goal for my future and where I want to go. It would be amazing for my future business to turn out like the Saddle Camp, even the slightest bit. Please tell everyone a big thank you from me! Hopefully I will see you again soon! I miss you all!

Fantastic 10th Birthday!

Hi Helen

Just wanted to thank you for making our daughter's 10th birthday so incredibly special. The girls had a wonderful time and are still playing and talking about it! Thank you to you and your family and the amazing girls who helped all through. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and accommodating. Fantastic. We all will remember this birthday always and are soooo looking forward to seeing you again in a few weeks!

Very Happy Birthday Girl!!

Thank you SO much for all your great work on Monday, Elodie had such a beautiful birthday with her special friends and their gorgeous families !! A HUGE thank you to everyone for coming and much MUCH gratitude to our hosts Rob, Helen, Layla, Champ, Comet and Elodies big beautiful hero Douglas. It was such a delight seeing everyone enjoying the day and see the horses Elodie can't stop raving about. Also wanted to say how awesome the feast was, everyone left happy and with full tummies :) Our vegetarian friends were very thankful for the lentil burgers. Everyone passes on their gratitude to you and your family, team and horses.

Fabulous Weekend!

Hi Helen and Rob,

Just a quick email to say a very big Thank You for a really lovely weekend. We had a fabulous time camping at Saddle Camp (despite the storm and Gazebo crisis!), you and your family were just so lovely and made us so very welcome. Your boys are great and Carson really kept us entertained! 

The spotlight tour, and the chance for the kids to help out with the horses really made it special, unique and exciting. 

I can’t tell you how much both Dylan and Kayleigh LOVED the Gymkhana you did with them. They both had such a good time, even Dylan who is more of screen/gaming boy than anything outdoors, raved about it. Thank you so so much for letting him join in, it’s not normally something he’d think of doing, so it was a fabulous opportunity for him. For Kayleigh it was a real treat, she loves horses and she had an amazing day. Neither of them wanted to go home at the end of the weekend!

Thanks again. And extra thanks to Rob for unpacking his truck for the spotlight tour :-)
