What To Wear
Your helmet needs to be certified AS/NZS 3838 and must be less than five years old from the date of manufacture (written on the inside of the helmet). If you have a fall and land on your head, YOU MUST throw the helmet out and buy a new one.
A pair of closed in shoes/boots with a smooth sole and a slight heel.
Long pants. Jodhpurs are comfortable and look great, but tracksuit pants can be just as comfortable. Jeans tend to pinch the inside of your legs.
A shirt with sleeves to protect your shoulders from sun and against injury if you fall. Polo shirts are highly recommended throughout the industry.
Gloves are not essential for riding, but they do provide more grip on the reins, keep your hands warm and protect your hands from the sun, and rubbing of the reins between your fingers.
Click the lighter font tasks to see a quick video on how I teach each task.
